Our Team

Barb Albritton, Director

She earned her B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in Human Development from Iowa State University, training that shaped her deep commitment to childhood learning and growth. She taught in both Aldine ISD and Alvin ISD before stepping away for a season to be home with her children. In 2019, she was part of the team who helped launch RECC, and she has been a dedicated part of the school ever since. She loves partnering with families, supporting each child’s development, and helping create a warm and welcoming place for every learner who walks through the doors.

Emily Brake, Assistant Director

She holds a B.S. in Biblical Studies and an M.A. in Professional Counseling, a combination that shapes her compassionate and thoughtful approach to working with children and families. Before joining RECC, she served in a community mental health organization, supporting kids and parents through a wide range of challenges. Her own upbringing as part of a military family meant moving often and learning early the value of stability, care, and belonging. Today she and her husband are raising two beautiful children, and she brings both her professional training and her lived experience into every aspect of her work..

Amanda Allred, Admin Asst.

A proud Tennessee native, she earned her B.S. in Elementary Education and went on to teach multiple grades over more than five years in the classroom. Her passion for helping children grow has been shaped not only by her time as an educator, but also by life at home with her three energetic boys. Over the years, her family has lived in several states as they followed her husband’s work, each move adding new experiences and a deeper appreciation for community, adaptability, and connection. Today, she brings all of that heart and perspective into every space she serves.
